Celebrity Summer Weddings

Your cousin is not the only one getting hitched this summer; stars from coast to coast are also exchanging vows in the heat of the season.

On Saturday tennis great Chris Evert and golf sensation Greg Norman wed in a sunset ceremony in the Bahamas.

The pro athletes, who are both 53, reportedly exchanged vows in front of 140 family and friends, including “Today” show co-host Matt Lauer and singer-songwriter Corey Hart.

Corey Hart? Go figure!

According to reports, the couple wanted a romantic wedding, which is why wedding planners decked out the outdoor ceremony area with thousands of cream and pastel colored flowers.

PEOPLE magazine is reporting that Evert’s youngest son Colton, 12, served as ring bearer, while her sons Nicky, 14, and Alex, 16, walked her down the aisle. Also present were Norman’s daughter Morgan, 23, and son Gregory Jr., 21, who served as best man.

The wedding festivities reportedly got underway on Friday with a golf and tennis tournament and wrapped up last night with an elaborate reception featuring seafood and a four-tiered wedding cake.

This is the second marriage for both Evert and Norman. The couple got engaged last December during a trip to South Africa.

Actress and former model Joy Bryant also took a summer trip down the aisle last night.

The 31-year-old wed her stuntman fiancé David Pope in a beachside ceremony at a private residence in Amagansett, New York, according to reports.

Bryant reportedly wore a custom dress designed by Missoni at the ceremony and later changed into a floral Missoni number for the reception, which was attended by about 100 guests.

Meanwhile, 37-year-old Pope sported a gray Calvin Klein Collection suit… which he reportedly wore to both the wedding ceremony and reception.

The pair met on the set of Bryant’s film “Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins,” on which Pope worked as a stuntman.
