Color is something that influences every scrapbooking layout and project. Our color choices impact the mood of the layout. I have come across a cool new website that is all about color. It is Color Lovers.
This is a user driven site where the users submit their favorite colors. Then all of the users can create favorite color palettes using the submitted colors. This is a great place to find color inspiration for your layouts. The colors and palettes can be sorted by most views and newest submissions. You can also do a search for a specific color. I love the ideas that people have posted because there are some really great combinations that I hadn’t thought of before.
You do not have to be a registered user to view all of the color palettes and see most of the information on the site. If you choose to register, you can then makes comments on the color palettes. You can also add tags to the color palettes. Tags are like a bookmark that you give a title to so that you can find the palette again when you want to find it.
There is also a forum area where you can discuss colors and color combinations with other users. You do not need to be a registered user to view the discussions, but you do need to register if you want to comment.
There is also a section for articles that they say they are building. There is one article there now, but more are coming. I think that it is interesting to read about color and learn more about how color influences and what colors really work well together.
Hopefully this website will give you some ideas for a new color palette that you would like to try on your next layout.
