Crazy Diets: The Sleeping Beauty Diet

Now, I know why Aurora wanted to sleep for so long before being wed to her Prince. She was simply trying to lose enough weight to fit into her wedding gown. I wonder if all princesses are aware of The Sleeping Beauty Diet. Is that how they stay so fit and trim?

I think I have come across a diet for even the laziest person in the land. Can you imagine a diet with no eating restrictions, no exercise, and a lot of rest? When I say rest I mean sedated sleep. I will have to take a better look at those who oversleep or take sleeping pills to see if they are thinner than the average gal on the street. So, if you want to lose weight in your sleep than The Sleeping Beauty Diet is for you.

The Sleeping Beauty Diet

Made famous by Elvis Presley, this diet is for those who like to multi-task in their sleep. You can get your beauty rest and burn off stored calories. What do you need? You will need a doctor with the same sense of morals as Micheal Jackson’s doctor and a comfortable mattress. You see, this diet requires heavy sedation. We are not talking about an extra hour or two of sleep. We are talking about being out completely for days at a time. The object is to burn calories away while not consuming any calories. Why couldn’t you fast? Because that just is not sheik enough for some high brow dieters. So get hardcore and sleep away the pounds. What kind of results can you expect? Documented results are hard to find. There is no proven study to show this “diet” works at all. In addition, it is harmful to deprive your body of all nutrients for days at a time. Have you heard of starving? Generally people try not to starve. Yes, you can cross this diet off your list.
