CSI Provo at Desert Star Theater

Last night I saw the best play! If you live in Utah you need to go to Desert Star and see CSI Provo. If you don’t live in Utah you need to check out small, local theaters near you. They truly do give the best performances and are very interactive with the audience.

I went to the play with one of my friends and her two children, eight and ten. The kids were laughing along with everyone, of course they didn’t get all of the jokes but they enjoyed themselves just the same.

At the beginning of the play they get the audience involved by telling you that when you hear a certain music it means the villain is around and you should boo and hiss. The kids had a great time booing at the villain.

This is the third show I’ve been to at Desert Star and one thing that I absolutely love is that they put on these shows with a Utah bend to them. Every state has it’s quirks, things the locals say or do that don’t make sense to anyone else, but when you live there it’s pretty funny.

None of the humor is mean spirited, it just gently makes fun of us for the things we do. Like taking casseroles to people and being Relief Society president, most people outside of Utah have never even heard of Relief Society but around here, it’s like belonging to the PTA, but more important.

The actors at Desert Star are amazing, since it is live theater things don’t always go as planned and they always seem to roll with it and incorporate the little mishap right into the play.

CSI Provo was lighthearted, good, old fashioned fun for everyone. If you haven’t been to a local theater production, I suggest you go. Look for the ones that are humorous, a night of laughter is good for everyone.

CSI Provo solved the crime, married off the girl and made sure there was enough Oh my hecks to go around.
