Deciperhing Teen Speak: Sex Words Parents Should Know

In a previous article Deciphering Teen Speak: Words parents should know I discussed a list words that teens use that parents need to know. I also wrote Deciperhing Teen Speak: Drug Related Words Parents Should Know. If you are the least bit concerned about your child being involved in drugs, you should know these words.

Another area where teens use code words is when talking about sex. Here are some of the many euphemisms parents should know that indicate they are having or talking about sex.

Euphemisms teens use for sex:

Jeepin: I am sure you get the picture. While it originally referred to intimate relations in a jeep, is used to can refer to being in any kind of vehicle.

Doing Laundry: The term sound innocent enough. Even adults use this code word so children don’t know what they are talking about. If you hear a teen mention doing laundry, ask yourself, why would this kid be interested in washing clothes. Similarly, making cookies is used in the same way.

Scooping: This is the equivalent of second and third base and refers to touch a girl under her clothes.

Candy: If a guy says a girl gave him candy or more specifically “some of dat candy” he is alluding to being intimate. This word is also a code for ecstasy.

Getting Georgia: This very creative term refers to oral sex. “Dome” originally referred to oral sex, eventually it evolved to Georgia Dome, and then just Georgia.

Neck: The word no longer refers to kissing. As oral sex is the new kissing, the work “neck” refers to oral sex.

Bobblehead: This refers to a girl who performs oral sex on a boy. A party just for this activity is called a chicken party.

Givin’ up the gold: This refers to a girl giving up her treasure; her virginity.

Parents, should listen to words their kids and their friends say and write so they will be aware of the level of their child’s intimate activities. If you hear any of these words said in a questionable way, you really should have a conversation with your children.
