Have you ever found that you don’t have the right embellishment for a page, or perhaps your background isn’t to your liking? Maybe you have an idea in your head, but you cannot seem to find what you are looking for at the stores or online. Or maybe you just want to be really creative and make your own designs.
Well, you can. Using rubber stamps is certainly not a new trend. In fact, stamping has been around just as long as scrapbooking, but many think they aren’t creative or talented enough to try it. I promise that with some help, tips, technique and advice you are perfectly capable of stamping.
Stamping allows you to customize layouts, words, sentences, titles, and anything else to your liking. It is easy to change ink colors, color images to match your layouts, create unique designs and you never run out of a letter you need when you are using alphabet stamps. Those are just a few of the pro’s in using stamps on your scrapbook layouts.
Some of the negatives I’ve heard are that stamps are messy, and while yes – ink can be extremely messy, if you know how to clean up you will never know you actually made a mess to begin with. There is an expense involved in stamping on your layouts, because you must purchase the stamps and ink, however consider this. They are reusable. They can be changed, altered, colored differently, done differently period. You will never run out because it simply cannot happen.
