Disney’s Beach Club Resort

Having grown up in New England, the Disney Beach Club at Walt Disney World in Florida brings back memories of the grand old hotels on the coast of Maine. This is one of Walt Disney World’s Deluxe resorts. It lies just west of Epcot around a 25-acre lake and was designed by architect Robert A. M. Stern. The resort stands five stories high, has authentic clapboard siding painted blue with a whitewashed wood trim. Visitors will find a croquet court and beachside cabanas on something they’ll never see in New England, the white sand beach. Employees (Disney cast members) wear colorful beach resort attire circa the 1870s when such resorts were the places where every family hoped to vacation.

The Walt Disney World Beach Club has 572 guest rooms that measure approximately 380 square feet. The average room is large enough to accommodate a family of five. Suites can accommodate anywhere from five to ten people. Regular room prices range from $200 to the $300s per night while suites will cost upwards of $400 per night. Rooms are equipped with either a king-sized bed or two queen-sized beds, a sleeper sofa or daybed, a table and chairs, ceiling fan, TV and a stocked mini-bar. Many of the rooms also have either a balcony or patio. When booking your reservation, try to request a fifth floor room (it was originally meant to be the concierge level.) As with all Disney resorts, rooms for visitors with disabilities are available.

This resort offers room service 24 hours per day and other conveniences that we all love like toiletries, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, in-room safe, a television speaker in the bathroom, newspaper delivery, valet parking, turndown service (on request) and even chess and checkers sets! The Ship Shape Health Club is also available to resort guests over 13 and is fully equipped with Nautilus and cardiovascular machines, a sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and massage. In addition to sticking with your workouts, you can also enjoy the full service Periwig Salon for hair, skin and nail care. A soda fountain, seafood restaurant, wine bar and bar & grill are available on the premises. An arcade, tennis courts, a beach for swimming and a marina with rentals are just some of the recreational opportunities at the Beach Club. Babysitting by appointment and evening child care are also available for moms and dads who would like a romantic dinner for two.

Complimentary boats and buses to the Walt Disney World theme parks are available for all guests.
If you want to drop off your luggage prior to check in time on the day of your arrival, just leave it with guest services at the beach Club and they’ll put it in your room when it is ready. No need to haul heavy luggage after a hard day of fun at the parks!
