Easy Ideas for Painting Murals in Your Childrens Room part 1

You paint like a three year old and hiring a muralist is out of the question. Don’t let this stop you from creating an awesome custom room for your kids’ room. Use these easy amateur mural painting ideas to make your kids’ room look like it was done by a master painter.

Try Painting Super sized Flowers Paint a few oversized flowers in your daughters room to make it a masterpiece. You don’t need any experience to paint this easy floral theme. First, use a round saucer to make a circle on the wall, and then use an olive dish as a template to draw skinny petals or a teacup to help you draw round petals. Look around your home for items of varied shapes that you can put together to create unique flowers and you can make these flowers without being able to draw a curved line. After you have drawn your flowers on the wall, quickly draw the stems freehand and add a couple of leaves. Looking at pictures of flower murals will help you visualize what your flowers should look like. You can paint two or three gigantic flowers on one wall or fill the entire room with flowers. It might be fun to substitute the center of the flowers with round mirrors or cork board rounds leaving only the petals to paint on the wall. Use your imagination! Cut petals out of different patterns of wallpaper. Use colorful long shoestrings glued to the wall in place of the stem. Use a floor to ceiling flower as a border and have the wall color change in between each flower. Draw a curvy line all the way around the room, like a vine and add a super sized flower every two or three feet apart.

Create A Line drawing Imagine a blue room with the outline of a tree drawn on the wall in brown paint. This drawing could be as intricate as a piece of toile wallpaper or as simplistic as a picture from a coloring book. To create this wall drawing, you will need an overhead projector and the image of your choice. Blow up the image on the wall and trace the lines with a pencil. After your outline is on the wall, use a 1 inch paintbrush to go over your pencil lines with paint.
