Greetings! My name is Karri Weathers. I have been with Families.com since January of this year. You may be used to seeing my signature attached to education articles. While I will still be very active in writing about many educational topics, I am very excited to also be heard here in the marriage blog! Courtney, Heather, and I will be working very hard to bring you up to date, interesting, and fun topics about marriage and relationships.
In October, I will be celebrating seven years of marriage to my high school sweetheart. Our romance began as sophomores in high school. We dated for about seven years before finally ‘tying the knot’. Through our years we have had trials and tribulations. However, God, love and faith have always seen us through. We now have two wonderful children, ages two and four.
I am a teacher and my husband is an elementary school principal. Along with working with children, we also have a farm. We live in a very rural area. My husband spends a lot of time working for his lawn care business and chicken house. We do not get to spend as much family time together as I would like. However, I do not think that a different life style could make us any happier.
My husband and I both married right out of college. Neither of us had ever lived out on our own. We were married for three years before having our first child. Nineteen months later, our second child was born.
In my future articles here in the marriage section of Families.com, I wish to explore many topics with you as well as discuss issues that I have personally encountered during my marriage.
