Exciting Things Happening at Big Picture Scrapbooking

If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you know that I love the classes that are offered at Big Picture Scrapbooking. It was such a pleasant surprise earlier this month when I visited the site and it had undergone a complete make over. Not only has the look of the site changed, but also they have some fun new changes implanted and coming in the future.

One of my favorite updates to the site is the daily quote and weekly color inspiration. I love quotes; I figure that you can never have too many quotes.

The color inspiration is truly an inspired idea. They find a picture of something that we would see in our daily life, such as bowls from Target (the first week’s inspiration) or a bedroom (this week’s inspiration.) The color scheme is then broken down and displayed in big color swatches next to the photo. This gives such great color combinations that can be used on our layouts. The best thing about these photos is that they have made me more aware of my surroundings and I’m actually looking for color combinations in my surroundings.

There is a gallery section where you can post layout inspired by the weekly color scheme. Even if you aren’t interested in uploading your layouts, this is a great source for finding new, creative ideas.

There are a few “mystery” sections of the site that will be coming later this year titled Happy Mail, Chat It Up, My Big Picture Book and Big World. I’m sure that Stacy Julian and her team have some really fun things in store for us later this year.

While you are browsing the site, don’t forget to check out the best part of the site, the classes! A great variety of classes are offered at different skill levels, time commitment and price levels. I’m sure that you will have a hard time narrowing down which class to take. New classes are offered often, so be sure to check back frequently so that you don’t miss out on something fabulous.

I recommend taking a little time and visiting the new site over at Big Picture Scrapbooking.
