Fabulous Find Friday: Making Memories Slice

It is not available yet, but it is destined to become one of the handiest little tools a scrapbooker could own. Introducing The Slice put out by well known scrapbooking company Making Memories. This company is already known in the industry for its innovative scrapbooking tools and products that make life easier for the scrapbooker. This new little wonder, that has yet to be released and is slated for a summer 2008 release, is no different.

So what is so special about this handy tool, and what exactly does it do?

The Slice is the industries first portable cordless die cut cutter. The larger machines – cuttlebug, cricut, pazzles, silhouette and others, have nothing on this little guy. First, most of them are not easily portable, and second most are certainly not cordless. The Slice is less than 5 inches and weighs only 2 pounds.

It boasts that it can cut through vellum, vinyl, cardstock and even photographs. And the output on the die cuts and other designs you create will range in size from ½ inches to 4 inches.

The entire kit that comes with the Making Memories Slice includes the machine, one design card, a glass cutting mat, 5 extra blades, a blade replacement tool, repositional adhesive and a power cord.

You also have the option of adding an additional larger sized glass cutting mat, as well as replacement blades, so there is never any downtime.

The design cards that will be available include basic shapes, alphabets and other cute designs that can be seemingly transformed into images for your scrapbook layouts.

If you are looking for a handy, simple to use, die cutting machine, and cannot afford the expensive of dropping several hundreds of dollars, the Making Memories Slice is probably an option for you. Slated release is sometime Summer 2008. Learn more here.
