What is All About Reading, Level 1:

All About Reading, Level 1 is a complete reading program which uses a multi-sensory approach. The child will be completely engaged in the process of reading from all aspects and will grow more excited daily to learn to read. The program can be used by homeschoolers, parents, teacher or tutors. It is complete so no supplementation is required yet fun and contains short lessons so it can be used by busy parents.

There are five key components of reading. All About Reading incorporates all of them thoroughly.

Phonological Awareness

Phonics and Decoding

Fluency

Vocabulary

Comprehension

What did I think of All About Reading, Level 1:

All About Reading, Level 1 is a homeschooler’s Holy Grail when it comes to teaching reading. One area homeschooling parents are constantly concerned with is teaching a child how to read. The process of teaching can be long and difficult or so we have all been told. It is what we prepare for so when the process is arduous we rarely seek an alternative. If you thought teaching reading was anything but a privilege then you could be using the wrong program. I have a student who is difficult to teach reading and she is excelling. She is having fun and asks to do All About Reading, Level 1. The program is so easy to use and delightful I thought for sure I would need to supplement but I was wrong. Today she read a Dr. Seuss book and I was thrilled. I wish I had this program when my oldest was struggling to read.
