Finally Potty Training, Part 2

Read my previous blog to find out how our day was supposed to go. Here is how our day went.

Jessie got up at 8:30 and we ate breakfast and watched TV. Jessie went with me when I put my contacts on and she informed me that she wanted to potty train. How did she know? I told her she was in luck and that’s what we would be doing today.

At 9:00 we went to change clothes. I got out all her panties and Jessie told me she wanted to wear Hello Kitty. I laid out all five pairs of panties and Jessie picked out the pair she wanted. She put them on herself with only a little help.

Jessie and Dolly both drank their drinks. After 10 minutes we all went to the potty together and Dolly sat on the potty to go. Since I know my child I asked her if she wanted to sit on the potty too. She’s asked to sit on the potty after every swimming lesson this week and then gone and has gone in the potty before. She said she didn’t need to. Minutes later she was crying about being soaked. I changed her out of her wet panties and sat her on the potty. Nothing happened. We put on a clean pair of panties and minutes later she wet in a big puddle on the floor.

Jessie now opted to wear no panties. It made a big difference. She didn’t pay attention to the timer and would run off to the potty when she was ready. There were no more accidents and she even pooped in the potty.

I don’t know how to handle the new chapter outside the house, though. I think I’ll keep a potty chair in the trunk.
