Want a frugal way to be patriotic? With the Fourth of July coming in just a week, you might like to take advantage of one great deal going on at many different stores. A lot of different stores have their own versions of patriotic T-shirts. Most stores sell patriotic T-shirts for five dollars or less. Patriotic shirts are a great deal because they can be worn all year round. At our home, we have just started the tradition to buy flag shirts each year. It is a fun, inexpensive tradition that we feel will show our children to be patriotic and grateful for their freedom. Check out these locations for patriotic shirts:
Old Navy
Old Navy calls their patriotic shirts “Famous $5 Flag Tees or Tanks.” Perhaps it was Old Navy that began the Fourth of July tradition of patriotic shirts. If you buy three or more of these shirts online, you can get three for $10. If you are shopping online, you may want to buy quickly, since a few different sizes are already out of stock.
Kohl’s
This week, Kohls’ patriotic T-shirts are reduced to $3.99 for adults and only $2.99 for boys and girls. This may be the best deal on shirts around.
Target and Wal-Mart
From visiting each of these stores locally, I know that both Wal-Mart and Target have patriotic T-shirts for about five dollars a piece. However, I was unable to find these items online. Target also sells patriotic shorts, dresses, and rompers for toddlers and babies. These are sold for various prices, but are definitely cheaper than regular merchandise.
Clearance Items
If you want to get an even better bargain on patriotic clothing, wait another week or so until these stores and others mark down their Fourth of July apparel. After the holiday is over you can get clearance prices on these items, making them a real steal. The great thing about Fourth of July shirts is that patriotism is in style all year round.
