Friends Album with Finished Inside Pages

The Friends album is now complete and was given as a gift to my daughter’s friend. It was so much fun to put together. Ashley really liked it and I hope that it will be something she will treasure and enjoy looking at for a long time to come.

One of my goals when starting this album was that it would be a project that my daughter would have a part in so that she could give a piece of herself to her friend. She thought of what she would like to write in the album and then I helped her with the spelling. She was having so much fun writing in this scrapbook, that she just wanted to keep add journaling to the pages.

The first page on the album was started with a sweet note that Audrey wrote to Ashley.

As I talked about in an earlier blog, I created the background for each of the pages and then got ready to add the pictures. Having all of the backgrounds of the pages put together when I was ready to add the pictures made this step really fast and easy. Here are a couple of the layouts from the album.

The final page includes one of my favorite pictures of the girls and a final note from my daughter.

I also added a couple of friend quotes that i thought supported the pictures.

After adding the pictures to the album, I wanted to add just a little something extra to each layout to make it more interesting. I decided to use Heidi Swapp’s Ghost Flowers with Bazzill pink flower brads in the center. This accent made the cover of the album consistent with the inside pages.

Making a gift album is fun for both the giver and receiver. I would love to hear any ideas that other have used when creating their own gift albums.
