Yesterday I began explaining a really cool concept I tried last year with a fellow home business owner. You can read the article, Frugal Christmas Shopping: Learn How To Help Work At Home Moms before you continue with this one so you understand what we did.
So far you have learned that we traded product discount with each other to buy Christmas presents for our families and friends. I got what I needed from her, and she got what she needed from me using each others consultant discounts.
Now you might think, how does that benefit or help a mother with a business? Here’s how: I make a commission off each item that I sell, I opted out of that to allow Kelly to purchase from me. And she did the same for me. However, because I placed a large enough qualifying order, I received $100.00 free from my company to spend on whatever I wanted (more Christmas gifts). Kelly had a similar incentive from her company. Basically we helped each other meet our goals. So even though I didn’t make any commission off of Kelly’s purchases, I did meet the goal I needed from the company to get free money to spend on more product which allowed me to purchase more Christmas presents.
So, first of all, if you own your own home business and you can trade your services, products or discount with another consultant working for another party company, by all means do it!
But if you don’t have your own home business, at least consider purchasing some of your Christmas gifts from mom’s who own a party business. These moms are usually trying to stay at home with their kids, could use the extra cash and sales, and trust me – the products you get are usually better than anything you can find in the stores!
