Games for Young Minds

With so many games on the market, it is often difficult to determine which ones are appropriate for the younger minds. After all, you want to provide your children with fun and entertainment, along with something that can educate. The good news is that you will find hundreds of wonderful games that stimulate a young child’s mind, some that we have provided information on here.

The first game I wanted to mention is called Thomas & Friends: Trouble on the Tracks. This particular game is designed specifically for children age three and up. This preschool play is an excellent choice, especially for kids who love Thomas & Friends. With this game, the children have the opportunity to help Thomas and his friends as they prepare for a huge festival held on the island of Sodor.

To prepare for the trip to this island, Thomas must do a number of things at the engine shed. Along the way, Thomas also makes beautiful bandstand music, as he clears off the tracks so the trip can continue. Other help needed by Thomas is bringing passengers to this exciting festival. Without doubt, this particular game offers many things to do and see such as sorting out shapes, matching colors, and even counting.

Another excellent game for young minds is called Blue’s Clues: Takes you to School. Provided on a CD Rom, this game is less than $20 and excellent for kids between the ages of three and six. Best of all, the game teaches children valuable life lessons to include helping, sharing, and good manners. Additionally, your children will learn skills for better memory and listening.

The Blue’s Clues CD Rom is also filled with all types of creative projects, covering subjects such as music, art, science, and even pet care. To run this particular CD Rom, you will need a computer with Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP. Without doubt, you will find this CD Rom quickly becoming your child’s favorite. The interactive play coupled with color and sounds is tremendous.

Finally, for around $25, you could go with Humongous Dora the Explorer: Lost City Adventure. For this game, the children get to join Dora, Boots, and Map on a trip taking them through a number of exotic destinations. Many of the locations are mysterious and hidden, places where lost objects go. As they make their way along the journey, the children and Dora will meet several exciting people to include Pirate Pig, Senor Tucan, and others, all working to find the lost items.
