Family Tree Magazine Podcast eleased episode number 39 on August 16, 2011. Family Tree University instructor Jim Beidler brings you a crash course in German genealogy. Other topics include: the benefits of heritage societies, and an introduction to the Genlias website of Dutch records. You can also find out about Family Tree Magazine’s photo contest!

The Genealogy Guys has an episode that was released on August 14, 2011. It is episode number 225. This one has a whole lot of stuff packed into it. The Genealogy Guys, Drew and George, talk about the recent update to the FamilySearch YouTube channel, and the new records and images FamilySearch released for England and Mexico. Other topics include the Society of the Sons and Daughters of World War II Veterans, WikiTree’s new Relationship Finder, and some responses to listener email.

Geni Podcast has an episode that was released on August 11, 2011. This episode is called “Getting to Know Thomas MacEntee”. He is the genealogist who founded the Geneabloggers Radio podcast, (which is hosted through Blog Talk Radio). Listen to the episode to find out more about him.

Speaking of GeneaBloggers, they released a new podcast episode on August 12, 2011. It is called “Read All About It! Newspapers as Genealogy Resources!” The focus of this episode is how newspapers work as a resources for genealogy research. Special guests include: Tom Kemp, (of GenealogyBank and ObitsArchive), and Miriam Robbins, (of the Online Historical Newspapers website).

African Roots Podcast eleased a new episode on August 12, 2011. This is episode number 123. In this episode, host Angela Walton-Raji talks about the new additions to the Chancery Records Index, a genealogy workshop that will be taking place in Virginia in September, upcoming webinars from Legacy FamilyTree.com, and the digitization of yearbooks in North Carolina.

Victory Church has released more episodes of its series about people who appear in the Bible that are a part of the family tree of Jesus. Episode ten focuses on Mary. Episode eleven features Joseph. You can still access all of the episodes of this series through the Victory Church website. Genealogists who enjoy figuring out family tree’s for people who were in the Bible, or who are interested in hearing about the family tree’s of important religious figures, will enjoy this series.
