Genealogy Gems released episode number 135 on June 19, 2012. This episode is called “Linda Chavez of Finding Your Roots”. In this episode, host Lisa Louise Cooke follows up on her previous episode, where she interviewed Henry Louis Gates (from the “Finding Your Roots” TV show). This time, she shares a conversation she had with Linda Chavez, who was profiled in that show.

African Roots Podcast released episode number 168 on June 22, 2012. In this episode, host Angela Walton-Raji mentions that she was a guest on the Bernice Bennett’s Blog Radio program. She also points out several upcoming genealogy events, including the Central MD AAHGS monthly meeting, the Fortieth Annual Summer Conference of the South Carolina Genealogical Society, and the FGS Conference in Birmingham.
Irish Roots Cafe released a new episode on June 25, 2012. This episode is called “Irish Hedge School merges with Irish Roots Genealogy”. This episode makes it clear that the Irish Hedge School and the Irish Roots Cafe are now one. All the pages on the website have been upgraded. The show notes for this episode include a series of the New Hedge School links.
FGS released an episode of My Society Podcast on June 23, 2012. This episode is called “Legal and Tax Considerations for Your Genealogical Society”. This episode is hosted by Randy Whited.
There are two guests for this episode. Frederick E. Moss, JD, LL.M., is an advisor to the board of directors of the FGS and former Associate Dean and Professor of Law at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. He will talk about the tax and legal challenges that your genealogical society could face. Christy Fillerup is also a guest. She is the Director of the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy She will talk about the next institute, which will be held in January of 2013. The featured FGS member society is the Otoe County Genealogical Society.
