Healthy Choice Dieting

I know what they say about frozen dinners. They are high in sodium, which is not a good thing. However, when you need to lose weight, Healthy Choice was what worked for me and I will tell you why. I am not a spokesperson for Healthy Choice or in any way connected to them. Healthy Choice dinners enabled me to lose a great deal of weight. Yes, too great to talk about. It is a sensitive topic with me that I would rather not remember.

My doctor suggested medication for my high cholesterol. I took it one day and my ankles swelled up. I am not an advocate of medication before trying other methods first. If you need medication, you need it. If you can get around medication though, you should definitely go the alternative route. I do not believe in putting chemicals in your body unnecessarily. So, I convinced him to give me a little bit of time to correct the problem through diet. I knew that if I lost weight my cholesterol would most likely come down by itself. I was already on medication for my blood pressure so the sodium factor was touchy.

I decided to give it a whirl anyway since having a high cholesterol is damaging in itself. I went to the store and armed myself with my ammunition. Luckily, the Healthy Choice dinners were on sale and I found out a few weeks down the road that they were often on sale. I needed something that was quick, easy, and did not keep me in the kitchen for a long time. I needed something to fill me up that was also nutritious, as well as tasty. I had found it. They turned out to be the answer to my prayers. Not only are Healthy Choice dinners delicious, the portions are more than adequate. I was not hungry even one day on my Healthy Choice diet. My calorie count limit was probably too extreme and I did exercise about 60 to 90 minutes each and every day. There were no breaks. Within 1-1/2 months my cholesterol was down to a healthy level. My doctor was impressed and so was I. I have slacked off a little bit here and there and still would like to lose more, but I am at a pretty healthy weight right now. My blood pressure and cholesterol are within normal limits. I feel energetic and I am no longer short of breath.

I guess that I do not feel the urgent need now to lose the rest of what I set out to, but I know it will happen in time. I eat healthier now. I have come to love lettuce, which has also served my weight loss accomplishments very well. I am happier than I have been a long time.
