High-Tech Scrapbook Resources

left

Computers are a priceless resource when it comes to scrapbooking, and not just digital scrapbooking. I am a traditionalist when it comes to creating memory albums, which is why I don’t have too many examples of digital scrapbooking masterpieces. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t utilize my computer to create amazing layouts.

When people hear about computers being used to enhance scrapbooking, most automatically focus on the different digital software options available on the market. For example, Photoshop is one of the most incredible resources for scrapbookers whose pictures need help, be it in the cropping, lighting, contrast or focus departments. However, in addition to photo editing programs there are also a slew of other software programs designed to help scrapbook enthusiasts, including Microsoft Word. While it may be hard to believe that the world’s most popular word processing software can be a critical tool for memory book makers, it is. Microsoft Word allows you to make your journaling blocks and page title pop with a variety of eye-catching fonts and designs.

Another valuable program which provides photo editing and layout assistance is Scrapbook Factory Deluxe. The software includes a huge selection of fonts and graphics, as well as more than 6,000 customizable templates. You can also choose from nearly 5,000 digital embellishments and 60,000 unique computerized images. Once you complete your digital memory book utilizing the program’s different features you can burn the finished project on a CD, and then play it on a DVD player.

For scrapbookers on a budget, computer scrapbook programs may not be an affordable option. Fortunately, there are some software resources available for free. Scrapbook Flair is among the most popular computer programs offered free of charge to memory book makers. The digital resource features a slew of templates, graphics, and amazing design options. What’s more, it is easy to use. With just a few clicks of your mouse you can edit photos, add embellishments, enhance memorabilia and share your masterpieces with others in Scrapbook Flair’s online gallery.
