Hints for Baby Scrapbooks

left

In a previous post I detailed some of the elements I used in a baby-themed scrapbook I worked on with a friend. We created the book on a $5 budget and the results look like a million bucks. Fortunately, my friend owns a professional grade printer and we were able to use a ton of free printables in order to keep costs down.

What many scrappers may not realize is that they can actually print an entire baby-themed memory album from the Internet for free. Whereas we just printed individual worksheets and other free digital embellishments, there are sites where you can print complete books in a variety of styles. You have two options. The first is a standard scrapbook page which you can decorate by hand. The other is an electronically generated template which you fill out online, and then print. Basically, you can design all of your baby book pages on your computer with the help of the free elements on various websites (I highly recommend FreeBabyMemoryBook.com); print them out, and then arrange them in a traditional album.

Another way to get the Internet to work for you while you design a baby-themed scrapbook is to use it as a resource for quotes. Famous sayings can add a sweet touch to an otherwise boring layout. What’s more, there are a ton of quotes featured online that can be used for free, including:

“It is not a slight thing when those so fresh from God love us.”–Charles Dickens

“A new baby is like the beginning of all things – wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.”–Edna J. Leshan

“Babies are always more trouble than you thought and more wonderful.”–Charles Osgood

“Having a child is surely the most beautiful irrational act that two people in love can commit.”–Bill Cosby
