Christmas is one of the most popular events to scrapbook. However, with the tens of thousands of holiday-themed albums, embellishments, and paper on the market, it can be a bit overwhelming to keep straight. What’s more, if you give into temptation, and purchase even a fraction of the scrapbook supplies available with holiday themes, your craft room would likely resemble a war zone.
In order to make the most of your Christmas-themed scrapbook supplies, it’s a good idea to create an organized method of storage. By doing so, not only will you be able to create gorgeous layouts with ease, you will also save time since you won’t have to hunt for packs of missing Santa stickers or snowflake decorated paper.
One of my favorite organizational tools is a 12×12 3-ring binder. The inexpensive binders are phenomenal for keeping track of all the little items that come along with holiday scrapbooking. What’s more, binders are a breeze to use and can help transform a disorganized scrapbook stash in minutes.
Binders offer protection for large sheets of scrapbook paper. It can be a pain to store 12×12 sheets, but with a binder you can keep your paper neat and organized with little effort. Moreover, if you purchase a binder with interior pockets you can organize stray stickers and embellishments without having to add extra folders. I also love the fact that you can transport binders to crops without having to break a sweat, and if you use clear plastic pages, you can see all your supplies at once.
The downside to storing a bunch of scrapbook supplies in a binder is limited space. A single binder might not be sufficient for your needs. If this is the case, you may have to purchase additional binders and sort your supplies by sub-theme. Also, as much as I appreciate their portability, binders can also get lost easily, so be sure to label yours properly, so it can be returned to you if it gets misplaced.
