Home Week in Review: February 4th Through February 10th

Our homes are the heart of our lives. This is never more evident when disaster strikes, as it has recently for so many. It is also a place where love grows, sometimes passionately, sometimes softly. When we celebrate Valentine’s Day, we can include not just our sweethearts, but everyone who comes under the shelter of our home. I am so amazed to realize that I get to share my love of the home with all of you. Please come along with myself and Sherry, as we bring you the subject, outside of family and friends, that is closest to our hearts.

Here is the Home week in review for February 4th through February 10th.

Here are some tips to make your laundry a little less hard to handle. And those of use with smaller families (we are a family of five) can also use these tips.

Large Family Laundry Solutions (2)

We have been talking about solutions to help deal with the large amount of laundry that large families generate. I already shared some ideas for making sorting laundry easier, especially when it comes to matching socks, and some ideas for establishing a routine. Now, we have some more ideas to keep that laundry flowing with less actual work.

Ways to Use Red in Your Home

Red is definitely noticeable in your home. You can use it to create a mood, create a focal point or to draw attention to features in your room. Red is the color of passion, cheerfulness and excitement, but it is also the color of anger, aggressiveness and hunger. With red, you have to strike a balance between using too much and not using enough.

Disaster Strikes Arkansas

Living in the South, tornadoes are common occurrences. We have had some serious close calls, as well as some storm damage in the past, but Tuesday’s tornadoes were once again too close for comfort. Many homes and businesses mere moments from our home are literally gone.
