Homeschooling Groups and Resources in Kentucky H-L

Involvement with other homeschoolers is very important to a family’s success in homeschooling. Joining a homeschool network or support group in your area will make a difference in your homeschooling journey. You can find homeschooling groups as well as many homeschooling classes, and programs that your students can enjoy. In this series, we are covering homeschool groups and resources across the country. This installment will cover Kentucky homeschool groups and resources H-L

Hardin County Inclusive Homeschoolers (HIH) This is an inclusive homeschool support group offering friendship, support, information, field trips, play dates, library group activities, and 4H. There are weekly meetings and membership is free.

Hands On Homeschooling In Louisville This group is moderated by the In Depth Learning Academy. This loop is a community of families who have exercised their rights to teach their children at home.

Home For His Glory is a list for Christian Homeschoolers in the Louisville, Kentucky and Southern Indiana areas. It is a place to share homeschool ideas, questions, field trips, prayer requests and discuss issues related to homeschool families.

Homeschool-Kentucky This list is for the discussion of topics related to homeschooling in Kentucky. Posting of events, organizations, and homeschool websites is welcome.

Home School in Southern Indiana and Kentucky is a group for home school families in Evansville,Vanderburgh County, Posey County, New Harmony, Mt. Vernon, Newburgh, Spencer County, Gibson County, Owensboro and Henderson, Kentucky.

Kentucky Home Education Association Gives information on requirements, resources, local support groups, legislative contacts, news, and an online egroup from KHEA.

Kentucky Secular Homeschoolers This site is for homeschoolers to discuss, find resources and connect with other families that are purely secular. Secular homeschoolers are a minority and resources seem to be slim. The goal is to provide an environment where secular homeschoolers can explore and discuss our children’s education without having to sort through religious content.

Lake Area Homeschoolers This group is for homeschool moms and dads looking for a place of support in Western, KY. If you want to know what’s out there for homeschooling families, the LAMP Christian Home Educators in Murray-Calloway County, Kentucky invites you to pull up chair, get your favorite beverage and join them.

Lexington Christian Homeschool is a support group dedicated to helping Christian Homeschoolers in the Bluegrass, Fayette County, Lexington, Kentucky (Ky.) area connect and form a community.

Lexington Homeschoolers is a support network of homeschoolers in the Lexington, Kentucky area. The group began with a few mothers who met in a Waldorf handwork group and realized they were looking for a way to meet other progressive homeschoolers in the Bluegrass area.

Lexington Unschoolers group is for anyone who unschools, wants to unschool, or just wants to know more about unschooling. It is geared mostly for those in or around Lexington, KY. Any member may sponsor a homeschool activity and make it available for other members of the group to join as they would like.

LouisvilleHS This list is for all Home Educators (Homeschoolers) in the greater Louisville metropolitan area. This list is used to notify users of field trips available in the Louisville area and also as a forum for discussion concerning homeschooling.
