Homeschooling Resource of the Day: 09/23/07

Welcome to another edition of homeschooling resource of the day. As always, if you see something you want changed, you have something you would like added, or know of something that should be featured please feel free to leave me a comment.

Today’s website is SchoolExpress. Yet another great resource for all the homeschoolers out there. This site has so many learning resources I can’t even name them all. From games to worksheets, and printable awards to software. This free website will help to fill a lot of homeschooling needs. You can also sign up for their free newsletter where every month you get a free thematic unit, and every week you get a free set of activity pages.

Word of the day: officious \uh-FISH-uhs\, adjective:
Marked by excessive eagerness in offering services or advice where they are neither requested nor needed; meddlesome.

Today’s homeschooling book of the day is: The Everything Homeschooling Book. This book has just about every answer to every question a new or experienced homeschooler could come up with. The “S” word (socialization), how to homeschool multiple children, different parents (single, stay at home, working, etc.), curriculum, lesson plans, learning styles, and so much more. That’s not even mentioning all the resources listed in it as well. This is truly a great resource book all homeschoolers should have on their shelf.
