How to Have a Family Game Night

family game night Having a Family Game Night can not only be a lot of fun but a great way to bond with your family members and save money on entertainment. Here is how to put one together quickly and easily.

Set a Date

Whether you want to have a family game night once a week or once a month you have to set a date. Just thinking that you will vaguely get to it one night usually means that it will never happen. Put the date on the calendar and stick with it. Ignore the protests and tell everyone they have to be available. They will thank you for it at the end of the game night.

Set the Scene

Having an area available will make things so much easier. Make sure that you have several games and a place to play them. A basement play room or even the kitchen table should work. Having your games easily accessible will make a difference. No one wants to go up in the attic to fetch a game.

Every once in a while secretly purchase a new game as a surprise, and don’t forget to discard old ones that never seem to get played.

Take Turns

Just like in game play, everyone should take turns when picking a game. To help young or indecisive players. narrow the list to three or four games that you know everyone loves.

Food and Drinks

Serve finger foods for snacks or a meal. it will make it a lot easier to play. You can also order a pizza and ask them to make extra slices, so the pizza is easier to handle.

Think of other fun food and drink that will make the night a real experience. You can even keep a theme, such as pigs in a blanket when you are playing a farm game or goil coin chocolate when you are playing monopoly.
