Insurance Blog Week In Review February 6-12, 2007

Ask Anna

This week in the Insurance Blogs I have focused a bit on the Business of Insurance, including some of the Career paths insurance has to offer. Next week I will be expanding on some of interesting things a person might do with an Insurance License.

I have also started a series of Blogs about shopping and quoting my own personal insurance portfolio. A project I have put off for far too long. Yesterday, we were given notice that my husbands employer is phasing out the retirement pension they offer. So, now we need to add retirement options to our personal insurance needs. That should make for some very interesting Blogs in the next few weeks!

Since I have expanded and will be adding specific company information to the Insurance Blogs, I thought I might add some of the career opportunities some of these companies offer. If you have worked with Farmers or been Insured with Farmers be sure to add your Farmers Insurance Company Review to Families.com Review Section!

As I add some of the specific career opportunities to the Insurance Blogs I thought I might also write a few guest blogs in the Jobs and Employment section of Families.com:

Insurance Term Of The Week:

I will be creating a master Glossary of Insurance Terms this year and the first Blog will eventually become the master page for navigating the Glossary. I thought it might be a good time to start setting this up!

Do you consider your personal finances as a “Family Business?” If not, you might consider thinking about how you manage your person financial affairs and how businesses manager theirs. We can all learn a lot if we think of our finances the way a successful business does.

There are not too many careers left with entry level opportunities for high school graduates. Did you know that in the Business of Insurance a high school diploma and about 2-weeks of class time qualifies a person to take an Insurance License test in many states? Be sure to check out my insurance Career guest Blog in Jobs Blogs:

It’s bee a very long time since my husband and I have reviewed our own personal insurance portfolio. In fact, it’s been at least 5 or more years since I have even shopped around or compared insurance companies. So, I thought I would share our journey and the steps I take to review our insurance and look for different quotes!

This week I didn’t get any Ask Anna Questions, so be sure to send me a message or post a comment if you have any insurance questions nagging in the back of your mind!

Just a note to everyone–Next week I will be having surgery so, the Insurance Blogs may seem a bit slow while I recover!
