What’s the easiest way to lose a girlfriend?
Don’t acknowledge her as your girlfriend.
At least that’s John Mayer’s answer.
The singer is furiously shooting down reports that he has rebounded from ex Jennifer Aniston with a 23-year-old aspiring actress.
Attention Jennifer Aniston! John Mayer wants you to know that he’s still available should you wish to make the same mistake… twice.
The rocker made a beeline to reporters yesterday after several publications ran a story Saturday about an alleged new relationship Mayer had started with waitress turned actress Scheana Marie.
Mayer insists he is still single… Jennifer… and that he is not dating anyone… Jennifer… and that he is concentrating on his new album… Jennifer… and not interested in a new relationship… Jennifer, are you listening… please…
Mayer and Aniston split in March, and just last week Marie fueled rumors that she was the singer’s latest conquest when she described him as “a great guy”, who is also “funny and sweet.”
The 31-year-old chart-topper admits that he does know the part-time cocktail waitress. The pair reportedly met last year while Marie was serving drinks at the trendy Beverly Hills cigar club, Grand Havana Room. The leggy brunette recently landed a small part in the Jonas Brothers upcoming Disney Channel TV show, Jonas, and maintains that she and Mayer have spent time with each other in the last few weeks.
Unfortunately for Marie (if she is in fact smitten with the moody singer), Mayer is adamant there is no truth to the dating claims, telling X17, “If I had a girlfriend, she would be incredibly offended by me saying, ‘I DON’T have a girlfriend’, so that’s the proof.”
Some proof.
I have a feeling Mayer’s definition of a girlfriend may be a bit different than Marie’s… or Aniston’s for that matter.
