Oprah Recognized as Most Powerful Celebrity

It probably comes as a surprise to no one, but Forbes deemed talk show mogul Oprah Winfrey the world’s most powerful celebrity. She beat out fellow celebrities Elton John, The Rolling Stones and Tom Cruise for that honor. Who came in second? Mega sports star Tiger Woods came in second to Oprah with singer Madonna finishing in third place.

In case you were wondering how Forbes came about their ranking, they consider the celebrities earnings, Internet presence as well as television, radio, and press coverage. Oprah lost her first place position last year to Tom Cruise, but regained it this year. The rest of this year’s top twenty reads: 4. Rolling Stones, 5. Brad Pitt, 6. Johnny Depp, 7. Elton John, 8. Tom Cruise, 9. Jay-Z, 10. Steven Spielberg, 11. Tom Hanks, 12. the Grey’s Anatomy Cast, 13. Howard Stern, 14. Angelina Jolie, 15. David Beckham, 16. Phil Mickelson, 17. David Letterman, 18. Bon Jovi, 19. Donald Trump, 20. Celine Dion.

Christina Aguilera Pregnant?

Rumors are flying that sexy singer Christina Aguilera is pregnant. The 26-year-old star has not squelched the rumors, with her spokeswoman only saying “I cannot confirm.” Aguilera denied being pregnant in February, but has said that she and hubby Jordan Bratman would love to have a large family. Rumors started up again when Aguilera and Bratman were seen leaving the Maternal Fetal Medicine Association in NYC last week.

Dan Aykroyd Builds Winery

Actor Dan Aykroyd has always been one of my favorites from the original Saturday Night Live cast. He has great comedic talent, but he can also play up the drama, as was seen in Driving Miss Daisy. He just announced that he would be building a winery, which will be located in Lincoln, Ontario. The winery should be completed in time for the 2008 growing season and it will feature souvenirs from Aykroyd’s movies.
