Just-Wed and Just-Engaged Celebs

I don’t know many people who exchange vows outside during the middle of a snowstorm, but if you are movie mogul Harvey Weinstein not only do you get it done, but you also convince dozens of A-list celebs to join in the festivities.

Weinstein exchanged vows with British designer Georgina Chapman at his waterfront Connecticut estate Saturday night before a star-studded crowd that included a very pregnant Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Cameron Diaz, Renee Zellweger, Naomi Watts, Revlon head Ron Perelman, Quentin Tarantino, Vogue’s Anna Wintour, Vanity Fair’s Graydon Carter, models Karolina Kurkova and Helena Christensen.

The aforementioned celebs braved howling winds and several inches of snow to attend the lavish affair that was topped off with a grand fireworks display.

The wedding came just one month after 55-year-old Weinstein proposed to the 31-year-old Chapman. Guests knew they would be in for a chilly evening, but no one could have predicted that the temperatures would dip into the teens and the winds would exceed 30 mph.

Still, the fairy tale wedding reportedly went off without a hitch. According to news reports, the couple said their “I do’s” inside a huge tent decorated with crystal chandeliers, mirrors, pink flowers and fir trees. A reception catered by Nobu and Cipirani followed where guests were treated to caviar, truffle risotto and osso bucco.

Weinstein is the co-founder of Miramax Films, the company that has produced dozens of award-winning films including Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting, Shakespeare in Love and The Aviator so there is little that he can’t afford to buy himself. Therefore, in lieu of gifts, Weinstein and Chapman reportedly asked their guests to make contributions to Robin Hood’s education programs for underprivileged children in New York City and to Give2Asia’s program in support of the disadvantaged in India.

I’m pretty sure Heroes star Ali Larter won’t even bother attempting to do outdo Weinstein and Chapman’s multi-million dollar wedding, she’s just happy to be having a wedding.

Larter just confirmed that her longtime boyfriend, actor Hayes MacArthur, proposed to her over the weekend.

The 31-year-old actress has made no secret that she has wanted to marry MacArthur for a while. Two months ago she told reporters that she was waiting for MacArthur to propose and would marry him on the spot.

This will be the first marriage for both. No wedding date has been set.
