Kregel Publshing Offers Wholesome Books

Kregel Publishing offers books for beginning readers and advanced readers up to the age of 12. They also offer a variety of books on biblical history for middle school to high school students. I recently became aware of Kregel Publishing and Circle C beginning reader books. I have a six year old daughter who is currently reading about Andi and Taffy the main characters in the Circle C readers.

Andi Carter is a six year old girl who is full of curiosity about the world around her. You and your child can follow her adventures with her horse, Taffy, through this series. The book has been quite enjoyable for my daughter and me to read together. Even my almost three year old has enjoyed hearing about Andi and Taffy. Following the story of a girl who lives on a ranch with her family in 1874 has been a learning experience beyond phonics and into history. I enjoy exposing my children to quality books with a sweet spirit that teaches about history or family life.

Here is the summary of the book we are reading:

In book three, if Andi can’t take her new foal, Taffy, to the 1874 California State Fair, she doesn’t want to go. But once she’s there, there are so many exciting things to see that she’s glad she came . . . until her big brother tells her she can’t keep the prize she won fair and square!

Some fun features of these books are the activity guides, coloring pages and fun the website provides for each story. The added activities keep my child engaged in the story and excited about reading and learning.

Each book is priced at $4.99, but you pay only $3.49 (a 30% savings) April 1 – August 31, 2011 when you enter HOME11 during checkout!
