LDS Family Week in Review: June 18-23

Monday, June 18th: In General Conference: “Remember and Perish Not,” we reviewed Elder Jensen’s admonition to remember.

Tuesday, June 19th: In Gospel Doctrine: Do As I Have Done To You, we learned about the importance of service in the teachings of the Savior. In Primary Time: Friends, we reviewed the importance of good friendships.

Wednesday, June 20th: In Young Women: Good Works, we reviewed a value that focuses on service. In Remembering the Gospel, we learned ways to remember the Lord in our daily lives. And in Top Ten Items You’ll Find at a Ward Potluck, we took a humorous look at the menu of our latest social.

Thursday, June 21st: In Three Ward Activities for Adults, we suggested some great grownup only activities a ward or branch could hold. And in Five Ways to Build Unity on Enrichment Nights, we looked at some activities to foster sisterhood.

Friday, June 22nd: In Should You Attend All Your Ward Activities?, we considered the fact that we don’t necessarily need to attend every function a ward throws. And in The Word of Wisdom and Your Example to Your Children, we talked about teaching our children healthy habits by (gulp) example.

Saturday, June 23rd: In Raising Our Children in the World, we talk about the exposure our kids have to evil in the world, and the need to allow them to make choices. In Protecting Date Night, we talked about the church’s role at keeping Friday nights available for couples to date.
