LDS Music on Pandora

love church music, and I especially love listening to it on Sundays. There is something about spiritual music that can definitely set the mood for you to attend church and feel the spirit. It also has a calming effect in my life as well.

Lately, I’ve been using Pandora, a popular free app for iPhones, to find music to listen to on Sundays. You can simply select an artist you like, and it will create a station for you that has similar music for you to listen to. Did you know that you can do this with some LDS artist’s too? For example, you can choose a Mormon Tabernacle Choir station, or you can choose a particular LDS vocal artist that you like, and it will find music that is similar.

One of my favorite LDS artists is Hillary Weeks. I have been a fan of hers for many years. I love her songs, and I love listening to them any day of the week, actually. I created a Pandora station of hers not too long ago, and I have been so happy listening to it on my Sunday mornings as I am trying to get ready for church. It plays a perfect mix of songs similar to hers, but also instrumental music that always uplifts and inspires me.

Music is powerful. I heard a quote, “Music is what feelings sound like”. What a beautiful quote that is! And, it is so true. Music has a way of touching our hearts the way no other thing can. I know that God has blessed many people with the power to do this, both in and out of the church.

When you grow tired of your church CD’s and are looking for something new, try creating an LDS Pandora station, and see if it will inspire you too.
