Lose 100 pounds in 3 hours! Sometimes it’s too good to be true.

When we read that we can make a million dollars on the internet working from home it raises a red flag. We have all heard the old adage that if it’s too good to be true it probably is, right? I’d say that is true about 9 out of 10 times if not 10 out of 10 times. No, I am not a pessimist and do have faith in miracles but I also know that where a dollar can be made a scam is brewing. When emotion is involved and the desire to quickly fix a situation one is more likely to fall for a scam even if their brain says it’s illogical. Scammers know that so they play on emotion and desperation.

Weight loss is a huge industry that makes around $40 billion a year! Americans will flock to ads promising to lose weight by buying this book or joining this club or eating this food or this name brand. Money is spent in hopes that someone out there can make losing weight easier and more convenient. Even weight loss gurus tell us to ditch the whole foods for a shake full of weight loss magic for the low price of $9.99. We take the $9.99 gamble since some hard body is drinking it. We are lured by commercials with some girl holding up a pair of jeans 20 sizes too big for her after she took a diet pill for only one month. Who doesn’t want a quick way out of feeling fat in a society that cherishes good looks and tight abs?

Don’t fall for false claims or a fitness expert who tries to sell supplements and shakes that promise unbelievable results. Losing weight is hard work. It may have been easy to get overweight but getting fit is not for the faint of heart. It takes determination and a set goal not a hope and a dream. If you eat more calories than you burn you gain weight. Conversely, if you burn more calories than you take in you lose weight. Weight loss is simple but the work is hard and takes commitment. Get off the yoyo and become an advocate for your own health.
