Lose Fat, Not Money at Hilton

left

Staying fit on the road can be challenging, especially if you are not a runner and don’t have the luxury of simply slipping on comfy shoes and heading outside to get in a decent workout.

For many people, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is priceless and they are willing to spend a pretty penny in order to stick to their current exercise routine. However, that can be hard when you are traveling for business or pleasure. Tracking down a hotel with a gym can be a pain, not to mention costly.

Fortunately, Hilton Hotels and Resorts is making it easier to exercise when you are away from home, and it won’t cost you an arm and a leg. The popular hotel chain is testing out two new gym rooms that make it nearly impossible for you to skip your workout.

Debuting at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner (located near Washington, DC) and the Hilton San Francisco Union Square the “Yoga Room” and “Cardio Room” feature a king-sized bed, a TV, a bathroom, and all the equipment needed for you to burn calories and melt away fat. What’s more, you don’t have to share the equipment with other sweaty guests. The workout machines and accessories are part of your private room.

Hilton’s Cardio Room comes equipped with an upscale Precor Adaptive Motion Trainer which simulates the workout of an elliptical machine, treadmill and bike. It sits in a designated workout area with special flooring, lighting, a mirror and a workout bench. Other accessories in the room include instructional workout videos, weights, resistance bands, a stretch mat, and stability ball. In addition the room’s mini fridge contains complimentary protein shakes.

Meanwhile, the Yoga Room has a special area to complete your exercise routine. It includes padded floors, a full-length mirror, plus, yoga accessories such as a Jala mat, cork bricks, a stretch strap, foam roller, and stability ball. The fridge in the Yoga Room contains complimentary coconut water and an in-room dining menu which features healthy fare, such as a strawberry banana smoothie made with Greek yogurt, toasted flax seed, honey, and almond milk. You can also order a healthy and low-calorie herb grilled chicken breast served with cinnamon baked sweet potato hash and lemon garlic broccolini.

The rooms are being tested out for about six months and could expand to other Hiltons across the country.
