Make Time for Scrapbooking During the Holidays

With the holiday season upon us, we are all very busy with parties, shopping, entertaining and so much more. It can be very easy to set scrapbooking aside because you just don’t seem to have the time to do it. I think that it is still very important to make time for small scrapbooking projects during this busy time so that you can take some time out for yourself. You will feel happier and be a better person when you take time to do something that you really enjoy.

I would like to share a few ways that you can squeeze in some creative scrapbooking time, even if you don’t have much time.

Keep a Journal. You could just leave a little journal or notebook out where you see if often throughout the day and make little notes about the things that are going that day. This will be a great reference for journaling on your layouts when you work on them after the holidays.

Make Christmas or Holiday Cards for Friends. I know that it always means so much to me when we receive handmade Christmas cards from our friends. You can keep the design simple so that the cards don’t take up too much time. This is a great way to use some of the fun Christmas paper that is available.

Organize Photos for Layouts. If you have photos that need to be organized, go through them and pick out photos you would like to include on two different layouts. Place them in page protectors so that when you have some time to scrapbook, you won’t waste all of your time looking through pictures.

Make a Page Kit. After you have selected photos that you would like to scrapbook, select the patterned paper and a few embellishments that you think you would like ot include on the layout. Slip them into the page protector with the photos and you will having everything ready once you are ready to create the layout.

With so many ways to include scrapbooking in your daily life, I hope that you will be able to make time for it.
