Media Week in Review – April 7th – 12th

Welcome to our week in review for Media! We had a fun week – let’s see what we were up to.

We started with a joyful children’s book, “And Here’s to You” by David Elliot. This book looks at the good in different types of animals and people, and celebrates it all.

Then Lauri told us about one of her favorite television shows, “Mission Organization.” If you need ideas for how to organize, this show is the one for you.

Did you know that “What Not to Wear” has a video podcast? Well, it does, and you can read all about it here.

Sixteen in No Time” is a cute young adult novel about two girls who want to go to the junior prom, but they aren’t sixteen yet and they have family rules that they can’t date until they’re sixteen. No problem – they’ll make a wish and everything will turn out all right. But they aren’t expecting time to freeze around them!

We were joined by Don Miles, author of “Cinco de Mayo,” a book that teaches us the true history behind the holiday. It’s not Mexico’s Independence Day, as I had always thought.

What is a virtual book tour? Come with me and learn about this new way of promoting your book and increasing sales.

I’m as Quick as a Cricket and The Very Quiet Cricket” are two cute children’s books that feature crickets. Now that spring is here, we’re liable to see more of the little critters everywhere.

Did you have a favorite blanket as a child? “Owen” the little mouse does. This review tells us more about this Caldecott Honor-winning book.

We close out the week with a review of “Child of Wonder,” a book of projects and crafts for your child that will get them thinking in new and unique ways.

Thanks for joining us here in Media Reviews, and we hope to see you again really soon.
