Media Week in Review – March 10th – 15th

We know you’re busy and can’t join us every day, so here is a recap so you can keep up-to-date on all you might have missed.

We started the week with an interview with author Thomas Bounds, who is writing a series of books for teenagers called “Choices.” It’s his hope that his stories will help teenagers understand the consequences of their actions and will feel encouraged to make the right choices.

Then we had a fun interview with Dale Harcombe, who blogs for us here in Families.com in the Christian category. She lives in Australia and is a lot of fun to talk with.

Kori Rodley Irons then joined us. She’s the blogger in Parenting, Single Parenting, and Home Business, and always has great advice. We also heard from Andrea Hermitt, blogger in Home Schooling. I know I learn something new every time I read her blogs. It was so fun to get to know these three ladies better and hear what makes them tick.

We had a review on the hit television show, “What Not to Wear,” which helps the fashion-challenged among us learn how to project our best selves with the way we dress, always with some humor attached. We also had a book review of “Traitor” by Sandra Grey, a new LDS author who is going to take the market by storm with her fantastic writing. It’s a book you can enjoy regardless of your religious affiliation.

We finished up the week with a review of a magazine called “Cloth, Paper, Scissors.” It’s devoted entirely to collage and mixed media, and goes into techniques such as rubber stamping, glazing, and even how to make handbags with your art.

We hope you’ll be able to join us again throughout the week for more fun, informative blogs about the world of media here on Families.com.
