Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas to Split?

Actors Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas met while working on the film Too Much in 1995. It may have been love at first sight, but at the time, both were married to other people. Griffith married actor Don Johnson at the young age of 19 after the two had been dating for five years. Let me do the math for you – she was 14 when she started dating 22-year-old Johnson.

That marriage only lasted six months and in September 1981, Griffith married actor Steven Bauer. That reportedly drug-fueled marriage lasted two year and in 1989, Griffith and Johnson gave marriage another try.

Banderas married his first wife, Ana Leza, in 1987. The couple was still married when Banderas met Griffith, Mrs. Don Johnson at the time.

Reportedly the couple fell madly in love and soon separated from their respective spouses. They married in May 1996 and daughter Stella arrived in September 1996. Griffith caused quite a stir when she had Banderas’ first name tattooed on her forearm.

Over the years, the couple had their share of problems, mainly Griffith’s fight with substance abuse. But, overall, they seemed like a happy Hollywood couple.

Until now.

Several outlets, including Woman’s Day and RadarOnline, are reporting that Banderas was caught on tape in a Cancun bar kissing a woman that wasn’t his wife. And, it wasn’t just a one time occurrence. Finally, reports say the couple left the Congo Bongo nightclub at 2 a.m. – together.

Meanwhile, Griffith was back in Los Angeles with Stella. After reports of cheating surfaced, people began wondering if the couple would separate. This was further fueled by Griffith appearing without her wedding ring.

Sources say Banderas is desperately trying to win Griffith back.

There’s no official word from Griffith about the incident, but she did post a quote that read, “BoyfriEND, girlfriEND, friEND, everything has an end, except for family” recently.
