Monday Layout Challenge: A Day in the Life

We are back for another great Monday Layout Challenge, and this one is all about you. Scrapbook a layout all about a day in your life.

I am really excited to present the details of today’s challenge:

Your layout challenge for this week is to take a good hard look into your typical day. Choose a weekend day or a weekday. Scrapbook about the details of getting up, getting ready for work and coming home. Scrapbook about getting kids up in the morning, breakfast on the table, lunches prepared for school and getting the kids on the bus. Scrapbook about feeding the dog or cat. Scrapbook the whole families day if you choose. But scrapbook it. You can use pictures, or you can do a layout without them – they are definitely more fun with the photographs.

While I wanted to share layouts to give you examples and inspiration, I have to admit, that this is one challenge that will benefit me too. I have never done “A Day in the Life” and am excited about it. With 7 us in our family, I think it will be fun to see how each person looks at their typical day. I plan to ask each child to journal about their day and help me create their layouts. You should consider doing the same.

Grab your camera and get started. Take photographs that are examples of your everyday life. What you do, how you get ready in the morning. Remember to do the same for your husband, significant other and children.

And once you get those pictures back, do not wait. Scrapbook them immediately while your day to day activities are fresh in your mind and you can get them out on a layout. In another year I am betting your day will look different and it will be fun to compare them.

Why do I do these challenges:

I am doing the weekly layout challenge for several reasons. One, I want you to get your photographs out of storage devices and onto your layouts, and two I want to help you brainstorm ideas, as well as use up your stash of supplies. If there is something you would like to see or something that you need to work on that I might be able to incorporate into a challenge, let me know.
