More Celebrity Milestones

Sure, it’s Oscar week in Hollywood, but some of Tinseltown’s stars are skipping the pre-parties, the post-parties and everything in between. Instead, they are staying close to home to celebrate their own personal milestones:

ADDING TO THE FAMILY

I’ll never forget her teary walk down the aisle wearing custom-made sneakers in the movie “Father of the Bride.” Now, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley may one day get the chance to see her own child stand at the alter. According to news reports, the star of ABC’s “According to Jim” gave birth to a healthy baby boy three days ago. Williams-Paisley’s husband is country star Brad Paisley whom she married in Los Angeles in 2003.

Also adding to their family is actress Amanda Peet and her husband, screenwriter David Benioff. According to PEOPLE magazine the couple welcomed a baby girl, last Tuesday. Frances Pen weighed in at 6 pounds 10 ounces. She is the couple’s first child.

Former New Kids on the Block singer Jordan Knight and his wife, Evelyn, are about to see what it’s like to be pulled in two different directions at once. According to PEOPLE magazine, the couple welcomed their second son last Wednesday night. Eric Jacob Knight was born in Boston and weighed in at 7 pounds, five ounces. Eric joins brother, Dante Jordan who just turned seven

GETTING HITCHED

Sorry ladies, Usher is officially off the market. According to TV’s “Extra,” the R&B singer is engaged to his stylist girlfriend, Tameka Foster.

While Usher (real name: Usher Raymond) hasn’t formally announced he is getting hitched one can assume the news is true given what he said to audience members at last week’s NAACP Theatre Image Awards in Beverly Hills. After arriving onstage to accept his Spirit Award, he immediately thanked Foster and referred to her as his “fiancée.”

This will be the first marriage for the 28-year-old singer and the second for his 37-bride-to-be. Foster was previously married to Noontime Music cofounder Ryan Glover. The couple reportedly met when Foster, a stylist who has worked with singers Lauryn Hill and Toni Braxton, signed up to work on Usher’s 2004 Truth Tour.
