More Frugal Stocking Stuffers For Under $1.00

I love getting things for less, and there are so many wonderful stocking stuffers that are available for a dollar or less. Use your creativity and imagination and you will easily fill up a stocking on little or no money.

Chapstick/Lip Gloss – Chapstick works for boys or girls and is particularly useful this time of year. What girl doesn’t totally love lip gloss? You can get lip gloss for under $1 at your local dollar store or discount chain.

Bookmarks – The glory of a bookmark is that you can easily make these yourself. Watch for articles coming soon on homemade Christmas gifts for some inexpensive yet practical gifts for anyone.

Plastic Cup or Mug – There is a wide variety of shapes, styles, sizes and colors of mugs or cups available at the local dollar store. Mine alone had 28 different kinds last week when we went in. Use a paint marker and put their name on the outside or decorate it with paint.

Matchbox Cars or Plastic Jewelry – Most discount chains carry toy replica cars for .99 or less, and plastic costume jewelry can be found for the same amount or even less.

Stickers/Temporary Tattoos – These can be found anywhere and are a wonderful stocking stuffer. Try to find some that fit the interest of the recipient.

Deck of Cards – Yes, these are available at the dollar store too. I made sure to check last time I was there so that I could use them as a stocking stuffer. Most children love cards and you could even print out instructions on how to play a variety of different games.

The dollar store has loads of other items too. Their Christmas section has ornaments, wreaths, candles and more all for a dollar. In the toy and party aisle you can find tons of things to use as stocking stuffers. Be creative and imaginative when you shop.
