My first weigh in

As I promised, an update!

I have been keeping up with my weigh loss goals well. Ok, so I have not started a regular exercise program. That is being phased in slowly. I am now up to walking three times a week for 20 minutes at a time. This next week, I am going to make it five times a week. I have kept my calories between 1200 and 1500 calories since the 1st. I stepped on the scales last night to weigh myself for the first time and I have lost 7 pounds in my fist two weeks which is 3 pounds more than my goal. I am excited and hope that everyone else has the same success that I have had.

I will continue to keep you updated with weigh-ins and other things that come up for me as the time goes on. One issue for me has been the idea that my friends still want me to go out with them in the evenings to drink and have dinner. I have been going out but only for drinks and instead of wine, beer or liquor, I have been content to drink water and diet sodas. (While only having a shot of tequila once and a half a beer another night.) I also went out to eat but was very careful what I ate and stayed within my limits.
For my job, I had to go to the movies and was with a friend who begged for popcorn. So we split a small that was filled only half way. When I ate my fill, which was three small handfuls, I made him put it on the other side of his chair so I could no longer reach it and focused on the movie.
