Netflix: Still a Great Place for Documentaries

I want to be clear that I am in no way associated with Netflix. Netflix angered me as much as anyone else when prices were raised over half per month. My bill went from $10.99 to $17.99 for the same service. Yet, I stayed. I then downgraded my service to streaming only for about the same as I paid a month before all the changes. So, I am not a happy camper but Netflix still has me as a customer. Why? Because I am a sucker for their streaming and have yet to find one to beat it. I was told Amazon or Blockbuster could replace it but after seeing their plans and what they offer I am still with Netflix.

What does Netflix Offer?

My focus on Netflix is not the movies but what it offers me as a homeschool mom. I am not as concerned with the movies or TV shows. From all I have seen so far Netflix still offers the widest variety of documentaries on their streaming than any other. Because I own an old TV I can still get it streaming there as opposed to other venues.

I am telling you to go out and pay $7.99 a month for Netflix for the sole sake of watching documentaries. After all, Star Trek shows are on there as well and that is a huge bonus in my home. What I am saying is that so far I am pleased with the selection of documentaries on Netflix. I have plenty in my queue and cannot wait to watch them with the kids. We have plenty of World War II documentaries and movies to enhance your study of that time period to watch. With just a click of the Wii controller we can watch the Story of Anne Frank or a documentary on the topic. So for homeschooling I am finding it to be a great deal.

If you have other options for me please let me know. So far, we are still Netflix customers enjoying the documentaries and a few shows. If you are looking for movies and TV shows you may be disappointed.
