New Company: Tinkering Ink

Tinkering Ink

Most scrapbooking product companies take a little time to define their style and figure out exactly how they are going to fit into the scrapbooking world. But I was extremely surprise to find Tinkering Ink at CHA last month in the new vendor area because they over exceeded my expectations for a brand new scrapbooking company. They have a very sophisicated style that will do well in the scrapbooking industy.

I truly love their bold designs in vibrant colors in their patterned paper and coordinated embellishments. They released 5 new lines that will have a staggered release date from now until May.

Each line contains 12 patterned papers. The Noir Blanc line patterned papers are double sided; the other lines are single sided. The lines also have coordinating Finery, which is felt embellishments that are infused with a silicone design. This is so different that anything we had ever seen. All of the images are available on a CD so that you can use their paper designs to create digital layouts. I love that they are thinking about both the paper and digital designers. Also, 2 different sets of alphabet stickers and a set of cardstock tags are included in each collection. As a final touch, each line has a scented lotion with a scent that matches the feel of the paper and a cute label too.

Here is a peak into what you can expect to see in your local scrapbook stores any day.

Perfectly Posh

This line is filled with bold, bright patterns in a red, green, hot pink, blue and brown color palette. This is such a sophisticated, yet playful line. I can’t wait to play with some of this!

Westminster

The color palette for this line is more of a boy style, which is something that I think has been lacking in the scrapbook industry. The blue, green, burnt orange and brown colors will be perfect for a variety of layouts.

Covent Garden

This is such a beautiful set of paper that reminds me of spring. The light blue, orange, green, peach and pink designs are such a fresh combination of colors.

Gibson

This line was inspired by music and has the most playful feel of all of their lines. Once again, they have come out with a line that will be perfect for boy layouts, but I know that I will use it for my girls too!

Noir Blanc

This is a gorgeous line of double-sided black and white paper and embellishments. I love the back side of the paper is the exact reverse of colors from the front side of the paper.
