New Favorite: Hip Homeschool Moms

Homeschooling is viral and the epidemic is spreading. Many homeschooling moms use the internet for support, ideas, and recommendations. The internet is exploding with groups, networks, blogs, swap boards, and resell sites pages dedicated to homeschooling. Homeschoolers have been using the internet as a tool of education for years so it is only natural to turn to this source for all homeschooling needs. Homeschooling mom bloggers increase in popularity every day. These women are gracious with their time and open with their support.

Today, I want to introduce you to one of my new found favorite online homeschool resources and community. Recently, I have found Hip Homeschool Moms. Hip Homeschool Moms is an online community for homeschoolers. You will find the support, advice, and ideas you need to enhance your homeschool and keep your sanity.

What I like about Hip Homeschool Moms:

Hip Homeschool Hop: This is time for homeschooling moms to connect through linking up their blogs in this blog hop. Please check the site for details so you don’t miss out! The Hip Homeschool Hop is a weekly event.

Facebook Page: Hip Homeschool Moms has a Facebook community of over 2,000 homeschooling families. What I love about this Facebook community is the activity level. Hip Homeschool Moms is present on your homepage with interesting, helpful and interactive status updates. If a homeschooling mom asks a question on the Hip Homeschool Mom page that question is put in a status update. The friendly community quickly responds with their best helpful advice and support. If you want to check them out on Facebook please visit: http://www.facebook.com/#!/hiphomeschoolmoms

Twitter: Hip Homeschool Moms also has a presence on Twitter. They will Tweet questions from the Facebook page along with items truly related to needs of homeschoolers. If you want to check them out here is their Twitter handle: @HipHmschoolMoms

The Hip List: Do you need to purchase curriculum or sell or trade your old curriculum? The Hip List is the place to start. This smaller community as compared to Ebay or Craigslist inspires trust an insulated environment among homeschool friends.

Homeschooling can be exhausting and overwhelming but overall it is a rewarding experience and the best investment you can make in your child’s life. I know I will look back at my homeschool years as the best time and one of the most important accomplishments in my life. However, on the day to day operations of it all it is nice to know you have the support of other homeschooling moms.
