New Photography Blogger

The photography blog has sat quietly waiting for a blogger to come and take the reins. Taking on the challenge of the photography blog was a no brainer for me, with my passion for photography and scrapbooking. I will be working with Michele Cheplic, who most of you know from the Travel and Pop Culture blogs. I’m sure many of you have seen me around the scrapbooking and frugal living blogs for well over a year now, and in addition I enjoy hanging around the various forums, especially scrapbooking, blended families and large families. I have now added the photography blog to my collection of places to be seen.

I’m Nicole Humphrey, and I guess in many ways I am a families.com addict. I absolutely love this site, and the fact that it honestly has something for everyone. I have been with families.com since March of 2006 when I started writing for the scrapbooking blog, which is one of my greatest passions. About a month and a half later, I added the frugal living blog. Since then I have guest blogged in single parenting, adoption, travel and food. I also have a background in homeschool, education and several other categories, I just haven’t ventured there yet. I am sure I will.

I am extremely excited to be writing for the photography blog now. With my love of scrapbooking, my layouts would not be complete without great pictures to go along with them. A good photograph lends a lot to a clear memory. Learning the many features of my different camera’s, was an additional benefit to my taking better photographs.

I own about a dozen various brands, types and styles of camera’s. In addition, I am a lens nut. I love adding new lenses to enhance my photography. My favorite lens is one that goes on a camera I am not as fond of. However, the lens is a 75-300mm Zoom lens and allows me the ability to stand way back from the action, yet still capture it all as if I was right there. I have gotten some of the most amazing shots of my children playing when they do not even know I am there. Talk about candid photography.

I look forward to sharing my passion with photography with you. If you have any questions, please feel free to jot me a message.

I hope you will continue to visit me at the scrapbooking blog and the frugal living blog.
