OS X Leopard Preview: Spaces

My computers desktop is permanently cluttered. Whenever I create a new document, or download a new item I always save it to my desktop for easy access. The end result however is a desktop that is so full of items it can be difficult to locate what I am looking for.

Apple new operating system OS X Leopard, due out next year seems to have created a fix for that problem. Apple released a sneak peek at the operating system a few weeks ago and one of the new features highlighted was Spaces.

Spaces is designed so that you can create a separate place on your computer for work and play, for me I would probably use the application to sort the way I like to have my desktop set up for one job as opposed to another. In the application you can set up your different spaces they way you want them and them move in between them, as you like. Pretty nifty, in my opinion.

I have to wonder though, would I use such an application? It seems like most of us who are slightly disorganized stay slightly disorganized despite whether or not e have given the tools to change. I have all sorts of day planners and scheduling book but always seem to let a dentist appointment or he random bill fall through the cracks.

Spaces seems like it would be a fantastic program to help me get organized, but in the end I would probably not take the time to get myself to that level. I guess you never know.

OS X Leopard is due out next year and promises to be a much stronger and application filled operating system for the Mac. How many of you Mac owners out there think you’ll buy the new OS when it is released?
