Our Daughter’s First Easter Part III

Our daughter’s nap did not last long. It seems there is too much exciting things going on for her to sleep more than ten minutes. Ten minutes must have been enough time for a nap because she awoke in a good mood ready to be held by one of her great aunts. She smiled as she was passed from one great aunt to another. After a good thirty minutes she fell asleep in the arms of yet another great aunt and had yet another nap. Meanwhile, it was time for Easter dessert. I made fifteen individual Creme Brulees and grandma bought a French Silk and Lemon Meringue Pies. I spent the next thirty minutes taking dessert orders because the Creme Brulee had to torched just before being consumed. In the middle of dessert embellishing, our daughter awoke again after only ten or fifteen minutes. Grandma finally got a turn holding her second granddaughter so I was able to continue torching creme to order (something I love to do). Soon it was time for us to go to my side of the family. We were greeted by more aunts and uncles (my siblings) and Nana and Papa. Our daughter was quickly swept away by one of the uncles (they are both baby hogs), while the other uncle followed the other uncle’s every step. It did not take long for her to need to eat again and I took her back to the spare bedroom to give us some privacy. My mom came in for a chat and after that my older sister cornered me for a lengthy discussion, during which my daughter made a big poop and leaked on her dress and tights. As soon as I got her changed and cleaned up, nana returned to get my now full and poop free daughter for some baby time. She was then passed among the aunts until she required another nursing session. Soon after it was time for us to return home for some relaxation and Easter candy before bedtime. Our daughter nursed again after which I changed her into her pajamas and she fell asleep this time sleeping until four in the morning. I think she had a good first Easter!
